  • Huntington Bank Field 100 Alfred Lerner Way Cleveland, OH, 44114 United States (map)

TAKE A HIKE offers FREE, 90 minute, in-person walking tours of unique and historic neighborhoods in Cleveland! Throughout July, TAKE A HIKE tours will feature North Coast Harbor every Wednesday from 6:00pm-7:30pm.

The interactive walking tours are led by knowledgeable guides that will share fascinating facts about historical assets and key figures that helped make Cleveland a special place. You'll learn about architecture, cultural development, historic preservation, and Cleveland's role in American history. New development projects are also highlighted. Along the way, you'll meet important figures from Cleveland’s past, portrayed by actors and actresses, who will share with you their stories.

The North Coast Harbor tour meets at Huntington Bank Field (by the Otto Graham Statue corner W3rd & Alfred Lerner Way). Please arrive 15 minutes early as the tour starts promptly.

About the Tour: Cleveland has a Great Lakes shipping history that took off after the building of the St. Lawrence Seaway in 1957. The Harbor as we know it today was dug out of landfill in 1986-87. Since 1988, it has become the Lakefront, with the focal points of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Great Lakes Science Center, the Mather Steamship, and Huntington Bank Field. Even larger scale development is proposed for the future.
