What are the park, pier & sand court hours?

The park is open daily from 6:00am to 9:00pm. The pier parking lot and sand courts are open 8:00am to 10:00pm daily. Weekend hours are subject to change with City permitted events and extended Goodtime III cruises.

Is the park available for rent?

Yes, the park can be rented. Please look at the special events calendar to see if the date you are interested in is open, then contact Downtown Cleveland’s North Coast Harbor Place Manager, Alex Kokolari, at akokolari@downtowncleveland.com for specifics. All event producers will complete the City of Cleveland Special Event packet, the North Coast Harbor Check List and obtain a special event permit for the day(s). Large events must start the permit process no less than 120 days prior to the special event.

Can I dock my boat all summer at the marina?

The North Coast Harbor Transient Marina amenities and docks are for boaters visiting Downtown Cleveland; the docks are rented by the hour and/or day. This is not a long term docking facility.

Is fishing permitted at North Coast Harbor?

Yes! North Coast Harbor has a designated fishing zone at the North end of Voinovich Park & E 9th St Pier. Anyone fishing must have an Ohio issued fishing license from ODNR Division of Wildlife. Please do not fish near the Goodtime III or on inner harbor walkway next to the museums.

Do you have to pay to go to Voinovich Bicentennial Park?

There is no fee to visit the park. If you would like to park on the pier parking lot, there is a small fee. If there is an event taking place, the access to the park may be restricted to event goers only. It is always better to call, 216.325.0996, to check on a specific date/weekend before you head to the park.

Can I feed the birds at North Coast Harbor?

Unfortunately no. North Coast Harbor is located within the City of Cleveland and the City holds an ordinance that feeding birds including geese or seagulls is prohibited. Anyone caught feeding the birds will be fined according to the ordinance.

Can I fly a kite or drone at North Coast Harbor?

Unfortunately no. Due to FAA regulations our property is in the flight path of planes coming and going from Burke Lakefront Airport.

Is parking available on the pier?

Yes! Limited parking is available (about 120 parking spaces). The lot is open daily. The rate is pay by the hour $2-$17, however during special events the price is subject to change. Parking rates change seasonally.

Can I have a picnic in Voinovich Bicentennial Park?

Yes! If the park has not been permitted for a special event then the park is open to the public daily. It’s a beautiful spot to bring a picnic! Please visit our calendar to help plan your next picnic in the park. *Please keep in mind no alcoholic beverages are permitted on City property, that includes all public spaces located within North Coast Harbor.

Are Charter Buses & Limos allowed on the pier?

Unfortunately no. Due to the narrow driveway for both incoming and outgoing traffic, large transportation vehicles (buses, limos) are prohibited from entering the pier. It is recommended that large vehicles of this nature drop off guests in the unloading zone located at the Rock & Roll Fall of Fame on Erieside.

Can I take photographs at Voinovich Park?

Yes! Voinovich Park has the best view of Downtown Cleveland, making it the #1 spot for bridal parties, engagement photos and senior pictures. Thanks to our 2016 Cleveland Script sign installation, our park is more popular than ever. Please be mindful that some special events will hinder your access to the park and the Cleveland sign. It is always better to call, 216.325.0996, to check on a specific date/weekend before you head to the park for photos.
